Oskar's inspiration is heavily influenced by Magic Realism and the Science Fiction literature he became exposed to from an early childhood. The narrative themes of his work often deal with a psychological displacement and the disintegration of contemporary culture, often with a dystopian hallucinatory effect.

After several solo shows in his native Mexico, he moved to London to enroll at the Central Saint Martins College of Art BA course. He then continued expanding his creative skills at the London Film School's MA course, where he specialized in writing, directing, editing, producing and marketing.

Since then, Oskar has exhibited internationally winning a number of awards, most notably a Special Human Rights Award from the Mexican government for his documentary Behind The Mountains, which exposed the conditions of orphanages for native children on Copper Canyon, Mexico. He is also a founding member of ICACH, the first film set and commission, and the director of Khoda 11:11 Productions.

Oskar lives in Los Angeles where he is currently working on his debut feature as he mentors other artists privately and as a teacher at the Palos Verdes Art Center.
